Advice for University Students

Recently I gave some advice to a new university student.  I said 'Don't make the mistake I did'... 

Don't think of your education like a race where the goal is the finish line.  It isn't.  Think of it as a runway at the end of which you need to take flight.

In other words, think beyond your education to where you want to go.  It is a means to an end.
